Summer 2016 Newsletter

Usually a real estate industry newsletter starts with some kind of cliché about the market being hotter than recent temps in Toronto. I’m going to skip that, because I’m not sure that’s been the case, if my back lawn is any indication. We have had the hottest, driest start to a summer in over 25 years, with little change in sight. This summer, there have been days when I’m excited that the thermometer won’t hit over 28 degrees. My back lawn looks like Shredded Wheat most days, and has the same crunch under foot as you walk through it.

In this edition of Smart Moves, we’ll give you the numbers as reported by TREB. We’ve also got some great advice for wealth building from RBC, and an article by Bob Aaron that points out the problems buyers face when a builder goes bankrupt.
