Spring is here! No, really, it is. You can tell not so much by the weather, but by the giant potholes on our local streets and highways. Oh, and the roadway construction. That’s as telling of the coming of spring as the songs of robins in the air. The real sign, though, is the increase in home listings across Toronto. It’s not a huge increase, but after the literal drought of listings during January, February and March, the last week and a half have seemed like a listings geyser has erupted.
In the Spring edition of Smartmoves, we’ll cover the numbers from Q1 of 2019, and look at what they’re telling us about the Toronto real estate market. We’ll also delve into the City of Toronto Land Transfer Tax, and some potential changes to it. We’ll also give you a breakdown of new Federal budget initiatives to make buying a first home a little easier across the country.
